I was a competitive gymnast growing up and started coaching gymnastics early on. I went on to be personal strength trainer and continued to coach gymnastics. The desire to coach CrossFit came from the drive to help others strengthen their gymnastics skills as well as lifting and endurance.
The turning point for me was when I finally agreed with my husband and tried CrossFit at age 40 after having our 5th child. I was out of shape but I wanted to get back into having fun in my workouts. The CrossFit community, the coaching, the daily workouts gave me a reason to get in shape again. It was fun working out with a bunch of people and not having to think about what to do in the gym. I've always been competitive, but CrossFit gave me clear goals to strive towards and great coaches to help me get there.
I love seeing people reach their goals and exceed them. You are stronger and more capable than you think you are! I've had some amazing coaches help me get to where I am, and I want to help others achieve their goals as well.
