CrossFit Gymnastics

An eight week series of gymnastic classes are offered several times a year as part of the regular programming.

This class focuses on the following:

  • Each class will focus on a gymnastic skill. The skill is broken down and explained in detail
  • Gymnastic skills are taught through progressions and small steps
  • Each class will break down a skill and end with a workout that includes the new skill or progression
  • Gymnastics upper body strength training exercises that will help you improve your handstands, dips, pull-ups, muscle-ups, push-ups, burpees, ring rows, etc.
  • Grip strength for improved work on the rig, rings, and barbells
  • Work on advanced skills such as the “kip” for muscle-ups, butterfly pull-ups, and more!
  • Locomotion drills that improve coordination, mobility, strength, and balance
  • A series of exercises to work on before and after class so that you can continue improving

What is CrossFit Gymnastics?

In CrossFit, body-weight movements are considered gymnastics. These movements include air squats, push-ups, pull-ups, handstand walks, among others.

Our coaches are available for one-on-one gymnastic skill sessions as well.
